Launch Pad Lecture – Back in the Saddle Again: The Flight of Apollo 14

February 4, 2022 @ 9:00 am 11:00 am

Apollo 14 was a mission of unusual things – from problems with the docking procedure that jeopardized the lunar landing, to the first round of golf on the surface of the moon – the third landing on the moon was a “wow” by any standard. Learn more on Friday, February 4th, when Museum Outreach Coordinator Tony Gondola presents “Back in the Saddle Again: The Flight of Apollo 14” as part of the museum’s monthly Launch Pad Lecture series.

The Launch Pad Lecture begins at 9:00 am on the museum’s first floor and is free to the public. Coffee and donuts are compliments of the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation.  The next Launch Pad Lecture will be held on Friday, March 4, and the topic will be “Three Steps to the Moon: The First Artemis Missions” with Museum Education Director Dave Dooling.
